FlowScape Hub is a large transit-oriented urban complex. The project combines a hotel, a commercial district, and an intercity passenger terminal in one integrated system. The design explores how transportation infrastructure can also support public life.
Many transportation complexes occupy large areas of valuable urban land. These buildings often function as isolated megastructures. They prioritize efficiency and economic value. However, they often limit public space and reduce urban vitality. FlowScape Hub responds to this condition. The project transforms a transportation complex into an open civic landscape .
The design releases urban ground for public activity. The architecture lifts, folds, and carves the building mass to create a flowing spatial structure. These operations generate terraces, ramps, plazas, and outdoor platforms. These spaces support everyday activities such as gathering, walking, and exercise. Citizens can move freely across the building and landscape. The complex therefore functions as both infrastructure and public space.
The spatial system forms a continuous public surface. Ramps and terraces connect different levels of the complex. The circulation routes flow across the building like an urban landscape. People can walk from the ground level to elevated platforms and roof gardens. This spatial continuity creates a strong relationship between different activity areas. The design encourages movement, exploration, and spontaneous encounters.
The project also proposes a new transportation connection strategy. The eastern side of the site connects directly to a nearby light rail station. A long pedestrian skybridge links the station with the complex. Passengers can move directly from the rail platform into the transportation terminal. Travelers can then transfer to an airport express line that connects to the nearby airport.
Landscape and architecture form one integrated system. Vegetation, plazas, and circulation paths merge with the building structure. The design creates a fluid spatial environment that supports open and free public activities.
FlowScape Hub proposes a new model for large-scale urban infrastructure. Transportation architecture can function as a civic landscape. Infrastructure can support mobility, social interaction, and vibrant urban life at the same time
