We hope that the White Crane Village Maze can become a literary and Zen cultural garden within the village, serving not only as a playground for children during tourist seasons but also attracting adults for relaxation, contemplation, and serving as a venue for art exhibitions. The design consists of pavilions and labyrinth areas, with walls made of black bamboo enclosing the pavilions and labyrinth into a courtyard. The black pavilions unfold horizontally, with an 18-meter-long eaves without any pillars facing the modular labyrinth made of black bamboo, symbolizing mountain shapes reflecting mist, grass, and trees, creating a mystical and ethereal realm. We hope the design can provide various functional possibilities for the village while harmoniously integrating into the local cultural fabric and natural environment.

The design preserves the existing trees on the site. The pavilions are supported by two strip foundations to minimize damage to the rural land. The modular standard components forming the labyrinth are composed of mirrored stainless steel and point concrete foundations, minimizing damage to farmland, facilitating construction and maintenance, and allowing flexible arrangements on-site to meet the needs of exhibitions and other functions.
