Melody of Happiness

The site is in Tucheng District, New Taipei City, close to the MRT station, hospital, and shopping mall. The project serves as a retirement home for the couple to enjoy their lives. Taking this into consideration, the design team removed the door handles, and there is no height difference in the floor, including the bathroom thresholds, which are as close as possible to the indoor floor height to minimize the chance of falling and collision injuries and to achieve elderly-friendly.

Although the interior area is only 59.5 square meters, the design team magnified its advantages in a small space. Light colors are used in the social area to create a bright visual effect and enlarge the sense of space. The light-colored building materials are combined with stone patterns, ripple patterns, and metal. In the private area, the curved headboard of the master bedroom and titanium-plated metal echo the design of the social area and achieve a sophisticated look.
