This project, located in Foshan, transforms an old community clubhouse through urban renewal, creating a non-standard commercial space that integrates nature, culture, and social functions. Drawing inspiration from the native ecology of Luhu Lake, Cantonese culture, and the vacation atmosphere of Annecy, France, the design combines local traditions with exotic influences to create a unique "natural garden-style" space.

The concept is based on three core ideas: urban renewal, non-standard symbiosis, and boundary-less mystery. By renovating the existing building, we aim to create Foshan’s first natural garden-style commercial cluster. Non-standard design elements break away from traditional commercial space models, blending commerce, community, and vacation functions. The space features cultural arts and outdoor leisure, fostering a refined social environment where nature, culture, and life are seamlessly connected.

The design breaks the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, using partition walls and functional boxes to create an interactive, layered environment. An open atrium and diverse functional areas, such as coffee lounges, cultural activities, and yoga spaces, offer immersive experiences. The project uniquely blends Lingnan cultural symbols with the vacation aesthetics of southern France’s Annecy, achieving a harmonious fusion of tradition and modernity.

This project also addresses the needs of various audiences, including families, social groups, and high-net-worth individuals. By incorporating art displays, children’s activities, and social spaces, it enhances both functionality and appeal.

Sustainability efforts include building renovation to reduce waste, using eco-friendly materials like low-emission paints and wood finishes, and enhancing natural lighting and ventilation. The integration of a three-dimensional garden and outdoor greening improves the ecological comfort of the space, aligning with the native ecology of Luhu Lake.
