Strategically located at the core of the “East Trend” in Wandong, Chenghua District, Yuexiu Glorious Luxe Phase III is not only a profound tribute to the cultural heritage of western Sichuan, but also a contemporary practice of sustainable living. Guided by the core concept of “Boundaryless Park Integration”, the design breaks the boundaries of traditional residential quarters, allowing ecological greenery to flow freely from urban landscapes into the community courtyard, forming an organic living entity that breathes and coexists with nature.
The grand entrance gate features a 12-meter-tall structure that pays homage to the chuan dou wood construction of western Sichuan. Rather than a mere replication, it reinterprets the traditional framework with modern materials. Five flying eaves are rendered through parametric design to capture the upward curvature of classic architecture. The 5.6-meter deep overhang not only recreates the sheltering sense of traditional corridors but also forms a natural shading system, effectively reducing solar heat gain in summer and embodying the wisdom of passive energy saving. The curved ceiling follows the aesthetic philosophy of “replacing straight lines with curves”; its streamlined form also guides natural wind flow and optimizes the microclimate.
The facade adopts ultra-clear glass curtain walls with a standardized module of 3.6m × 4.2m, maximizing visual transparency and daylighting efficiency while minimizing material waste through precise modular control, improving construction accuracy and durability. The combination of off-white stone and coffee-colored aluminum panels echoes the elegance of the Shanghai-style aesthetic. These high-reflectivity, weather-resistant materials reduce the heat island effect, extend maintenance cycles, and uphold the low-carbon concept throughout the full life cycle.
The inner courtyard establishes visual corridors through colonnades, framing the Canyon Book Bar as a focal point and strengthening the axial order. The book bar and negotiation area adopt a sunken design, with the indoor floor level lower than the surrounding water features. The water surface visually connects with the facade, blurring physical boundaries. This creates an immersive spatial experience and leverages the evaporative cooling effect of water to regulate the local microclimate, achieving an ecologically integrated fusion of architecture, landscape, and interior.
