“La Dolce Vita: Masters of Italian Design” is the thirteenth selling exhibition at Galerie56, and marks its first formal collaboration with Nilufar, a gallery spanning nearly five decades, known for its ability to anticipate design trends and its exceptional selection of vintage design masterpieces.



With an assembly that offers a comprehensive and emotionally resonant journey through Italy’s most creative decades, the curated selection of Italian masterpieces—including works by Carlo Mollino, Ettore Sottsass, Piero Fornasetti, BBPR, and Ico Parisi—highlights both experimental and functional dimensions of 20th-century design. Two visionary figures in the design world, united by a shared passion for architecture, culture, and collectible design, Nina Yashar, founder of Nilufar, and Lee F. Mindel, FAIA, founder of Galerie56 and SheltonMindel, bring together for the first time a collaboration that marks a meaningful and personal exchange between them. The exhibition concept offers a new stage for Italian vintage artistry in a space that is both intimate and open to the urban life of New York City.
